Travelling Scrub Technicians, Flat batteries, No sleep for Stone

The Texarkana KOA is not a place I would choose to patronize again. Located at the intersection of Interstate 30, State Line Road, and a very busy train track, and populated by long term/semi permanent residents with loud motorcycles, things were a bit loud, and as a result, Stone got not a single wink of sleep last night. He was one cranky Motherfucker this morning, I can assure you.

While Stone was brewing a second pot of coffee I took the girl on a walk around the campgrounds.

The kid saw this and shouted "There's a Fungus Among Us!" I Love that kid.  

The camp is comprised of mostly Long term residents, living out of motorhomes.

This morning when we woke up, there was this dude just passed out on a blanket, right out in the open, near our bus.  When we got back from out Ticky tour of the camp, there he was, chatting to Stone.

Turns out his name is Kevin, and he is a Travelling Surgical Technician / Inventor / Artist / Sculptor / Philosopher! He borrowed our daughter to create an art project.

After casting the kid's hand in some sort of Gel, he poured in the plaster of Paris, and this is the result! 

After some pool time in the KOA pool, we hit the road, and headed for Hope, AR, Birthplace of Former President Bill Clinton. We went to Bill Clinton's Wal-Mart.

People of Wal-Mart, Beware.

The horsey ride on the way out of Walmart came with the following instructions. I think that's a little over the top, frankly.

And now, we are at the Much nicer, totally fantastic, Hot Springs AR KOA!

So far, So good.
